About these domains
A sampled Wikipedia link tells you that the old site appeared in a citation, reference or official-link section at some point. That's a fact about the domain's past, not about whoever owns it next. And Wikipedia links get added, reverted and removed all the time, so check the article and the exact citation before you bid.
The 313 domains here are the ones where our backlink analysis found at least one link from wikipedia.org, wikimedia.org or wiktionary.org in the referring domains we sampled. We analyse the strongest domains first and widen coverage every day. No badge can mean two things: we haven't analysed the domain yet, or none of these sites showed up in its sample. Hover the Top BL column to see the linking page, the anchor text and the year we first saw the link.
Every other filter still works on top: TLD, Trust Flow, price, age, language. A Wikipedia citation on a clean .fr and one on a dropped .com are two different purchases, and you'll find both here.
Frequently asked questions
Are Wikipedia backlinks dofollow?
No. External links on Wikipedia have carried rel="nofollow" since 2007. What a citation gives you is context about how the old site was referenced, and some readers may click through if the link is still live. Traffic and any secondary links vary a lot from one domain to the next, so check the article and the wider backlink profile before bidding.
Will the link still be there after I buy the domain?
Not necessarily. Editors and bots remove or replace links to dead sites, and nothing transfers with a domain purchase except the name. The sooner the domain serves relevant content again, the better the odds the citation stays. The hover panel shows the linking page and the year we first saw the link, so you can check the article first.
How do you know a domain has a Wikipedia link?
We sample the strongest referring domains of each analysed domain with Majestic and flag the ones from Wikipedia, Wikimedia or Wiktionary. The analysis runs on the best domains first and widens daily. A domain without a badge either hasn't been analysed yet or had no such link in its sample.
Can I see the actual linking pages?
The badges are visible to everyone. The links behind them, with anchor text, Trust Flow of the linking page and first-seen year, are part of every paid plan.
