Are press backlinks dofollow?
Depends on the outlet and the page. Many newsrooms add nofollow or sponsored attributes to outbound links, others don't. The hover panel shows each link so you can inspect the page yourself before deciding.
What does a press link tell me about an expired domain?
That a page on one of the tracked outlets linked to it. Read that page to see whether it was coverage, a profile, a citation or some other kind of mention, and what the old site was. That's the context any relaunch of the domain has to live with.
How current is this list?
The analysis widens every day, starting with the strongest domains, and the listing itself refreshes with the sources several times a day. A domain without a badge either hasn't been analysed yet or had none of the tracked outlets in the referring domains we sampled.
