Choosing the right tool

ExpiredDomains.net is a free but manual tool with no API. If you need programmatic access, batch filtering by TF/CF/DA, or ccTLD depth beyond .com, CatchDoms is the closest drop-in alternative with a REST API, MCP server for AI assistants, and 16 aggregated auction sources.

SpamZilla is single-purpose (spam detection, PBN-focused). DomCop is scoring-only, no auction data. CatchDoms covers both: 0-100 quality score plus live auction data from :count platforms plus the deleted-ccTLD database. Pick SpamZilla if you only need spam filtering. Pick CatchDoms if you want one dashboard for everything.

Among the 10 compared here, only CatchDoms and SEO.Domains offer a genuine REST API with SEO-enriched responses. WhoisFreaks and WhoisXML API provide WHOIS-centric APIs but skip Majestic / Moz metrics. Most others are web-only tools.
